In the 1930s, a social crackdown on burlesque shows led to their gradual downfall. The shows had slowly changed from variety performances, to simple ones focusing on the strip tease. As pornography became available, it replaced the burlesque tease. The art form is not dependent upon the *perfect body* and these women revel in the fun. Patty Cakes also saw an opportunity: offer classes in the art of strip, twirling and making your own pasties. She does PTA & Sewing Circle meetings, tea time @ the Club, the Teas-o-Rama, and New York Burlesque Festivals. All one of a kind. Each one will be slighty differant!
